Petrolimex has revealed details of a trial it conducted on software for fuel service station management from July 30 to August 15. The software, EGAS, was supplied by PIACOM and trialled in Petroleum Company Region 1 and 2 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ms Dam Thi Huyen, Vice Director General of Petrolimex and Director of the project (pictured presenting results of the trial), explained that the areas covered by the trial featured many staions, with typical activities. She stressed that EGAS is not just a software but a solution for managing stations, as it is integrated with automation systems. Huyen praised the efforts of participants in the trial.
Following the test, EGAS will be completed for deployment in 75 stations across Regions 1 and 2, before being rolled out across the network. EGAS manages stations through automation in three key areas: the receipt of a signal from dispensers, automatic level gauging and card payments. The software is configured by concentrated data and on wide band (WAN, internet).
